Refund Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
The short version
The 8-day free trial is your evaluation window — cancel during it and you pay nothing. After a charge: full refund if you contact us within 72 hours; partial refund (see below) from 72 hours through day 14; no refund after day 14 except where the law requires one. Cancelling is always free, instant, and self-serve.
1. The free trial
Every subscription begins with an 8-day free trial with full access. A payment card is required to start, and we send a reminder email before the trial ends. Cancel any time during the trial from your account page and your card is never charged. The trial is the time to decide — please use it.
2. Cancellation (always available, never a fee)
You can cancel auto-renewal at any time, in one click, from your account page. Cancelling stops all future charges and you keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for. If you forgot to cancel and were charged for a new period, you can still cancel immediately — you will not be charged again, and you keep access for the period that was billed.
3. Refunds on monthly plans
- Within 72 hours of the charge: full refund on request.
- From 72 hours through day 14: 50% refund on request.
- After day 14: no refund, except where required by applicable law.
4. Refunds on annual plans
- Within 72 hours of the charge: full refund on request.
- From 72 hours through day 14: refund pro-rated by month — you pay for any month already started, and the remaining full months are refunded.
- After day 14: no refund, except where required by applicable law.
5. How to request a refund
Email jeremy.ryan@codepause.com from your account email, or reply to any Paddle receipt, within the windows above. The timestamps of the charge and of your request decide which window applies. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
6. Billing errors
The windows above apply to change-of-mind refunds. Genuine billing errors — duplicate charges, charges after a confirmed cancellation, or amounts different from the published price — are refunded in full whenever they occurred. That is not a courtesy; it is just correct.
7. Statutory rights
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory withdrawal or refund rights (for example the EU or UK), nothing in this policy limits those rights, and Paddle, as Merchant of Record, honors applicable statutory withdrawal periods at checkout.
